Richard Harrison has read at the Calgary Spoken Word Festival, the Hockey Hall of Fame, WordFest, the Saddledome, and at libraries, coffee shops, bars, and classrooms across the country. His work has been featured on "Morningside" and "Adrienne Clarkson Presents." A Governor- General's Award finalist, his poetry has been published in six books over 25 years, and has been appeared in five languages, including Portuguese and Arabic. His essays on poetry, hockey, and the comic and graphic novel have appeared around the world, and his work on the hidden origin of Superman was presented at the 2009 San Diego Comic-Con. Acquisitions editor for Frontenac House's 2011 Quartet poetry books, Richard teaches English and Creative Writing at Mount Royal University in Calgary, where he lives with his wife, Lisa Rouleau, and their children, Emma and Keeghan.
